Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure a seamless production experience, we have compiled a comprehensive list of questions frequently asked by clients considering Kleigmeshid for their video projects. Whether you are a small business owner or a creative professional, these guidelines will help you understand our workflow, technical capabilities, and business terms. If your specific question is not addressed here, please feel free to reach out via our contact form for a personalized consultation.

Ordering and Briefing

What is the general process for requesting a video production project?

The process begins with an inquiry via our contact form, where you specify the purpose of the video, target audience, budget, and desired deadline. We then conduct a detailed briefing to create a structural proposal and a formal quote. Once agreed upon, we sign the contract and require a deposit of 50% of the total cost to commence production. For detailed contractual obligations, please refer to our Terms of Service.

Who is responsible for the script and conceptual planning?

Generally, our executive producer develops the conceptual plan and script based on the initial briefing. However, if you already have a detailed script or a storyboard, we are happy to use those as the primary foundation. Establishing a clear direction before filming ensures maximum efficiency and quality.

Can you handle urgent projects with tight deadlines?

We strive to accommodate urgent requests depending on our current production schedule. However, to maintain our quality standards, our average delivery time ranges from 14 to 21 days. Please provide your specific required date during the initial inquiry so we can evaluate the feasibility.

What are the payment terms for B2B (Corporate) clients?

For corporate clients, we offer a payment term of 30 days from the date of the final invoice. Please note that the initial deposit of 50% is still required before the start of the production phase to secure the team and equipment.

Filming and Production

Should I choose studio filming or on-location shooting?

This depends on your goals. For interviews, product demonstrations, or any content requiring controlled lighting and silence, our 65m² studio—equipped with a horizon wall and chroma key—is the ideal choice. For showcasing company culture or actual operational environments, we recommend on-location filming.

How are location permits and image rights handled for on-site filming?

As a general rule, the client is responsible for obtaining all necessary location permits and signed consent forms from individuals appearing in the video. If you require assistance with this process, we can provide consulting support for an additional fee. We recommend reading our guide on Location Permits and Image Rights.

How many crew members will be present during the shoot?

Depending on the scale of the project, our filming crew typically consists of 3 to 5 professionals. This usually includes a producer, a senior videographer, and specialists for lighting and sound recording.

What technical equipment do you use for production?

We utilize professional 4K cinema cameras and a high-end professional lighting set. This ensures a cinematic texture and crystal-clear audio, providing the high production value expected for modern business communication.

Editing and Revisions

How many rounds of revisions are included in the price?

After the delivery of the first edit (rough cut), we provide up to 2 rounds of revisions free of charge. Please be aware that significant changes to the original concept or specifications requested after filming may incur additional costs.

When will I receive the first draft (rough cut) of my video?

We typically deliver the first draft within 7 days following the completion of filming. At this stage, you can review the overall flow, pacing, and cut selections before requesting specific adjustments.

What is the timeline from the first draft to final delivery?

Including the revision process, final delivery usually takes about 14 days after the first draft is submitted. This contributes to our overall average delivery window of 14 to 21 days.

Is color grading included in the production package?

Yes, basic color grading is included in all our plans. We adjust the color palette to align with your brand identity and enhance the overall visual quality of the footage.

Delivery and Formats

In what file formats will the final video be delivered?

We deliver final videos in the widely compatible MP4 format. Depending on your needs, we can export in various aspect ratios, including 16:9 (horizontal), 9:16 (vertical), or 1:1 (square).

Can you add subtitles to the video?

Yes, we can provide full captions or key-point subtitles depending on your requirements. Please check the specific service plan for details on subtitle creation costs.

Can I obtain the raw footage (RAW data) from the shoot?

The provision of raw materials depends on the specific contract. By default, the deliverable is the finished video file. However, we can provide raw footage if a specific "Material Provision Plan" is agreed upon. Please contact us for details.

Do you archive the project data after delivery?

We archive project files for 6 months after final delivery. We cannot perform re-edits or recover data after this period, so we strongly encourage clients to maintain their own backups of the final deliverables.

Rights and Music

How is the copyright for background music handled?

We use royalty-free music from libraries licensed for commercial use. If you wish to use a specific copyrighted track, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary licenses. Further details are available in our Terms of Service.

Who owns the copyright to the finished video?

Once full payment is received, the usage rights for the video are transferred to the client. However, Kleigmeshid reserves the right to use portions of the video in our portfolio or website for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

What considerations are needed for the image rights of participants?

Consent for filming and publication must be obtained from every person appearing in the video. This is especially critical for on-location shoots in public spaces. All personal data is handled strictly according to our Privacy Policy.

Can I edit the delivered video for other purposes later?

You are free to use the delivered file as is. However, we request that third parties do not re-edit the work in a way that significantly damages the quality or reputation of the production without our consent.

Payments and Cancellations

What is the policy for rescheduling a shoot?

We allow free rescheduling if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the scheduled filming date. Changes or cancellations made after this window may be subject to a cancellation fee as per our terms.

Are taxes included in the listed prices?

Prices marked as "税込" (Tax Included) include the 10% consumption tax. Prices marked as "税抜" (Tax Excluded) will have the 10% tax added to the final invoice.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments via bank transfer. Please note that any transfer fees are to be borne by the client.

What happens if there is a defect in the final production?

If there is a clear defect based on the agreed conceptual plan, we will provide free corrections within the project period. However, changes resulting from new instructions or requests made after the agreement will be quoted separately.
